Each year in December and January, the BC Wildlife Park in Kamloops comes alive - not from the many animals it houses but from 500,000 miniature lights used to create hundreds of life-size sculptures. During festival dates, the light exhibits can be viewed daily from 5 to 9pm except for Christmas Day.

Every January, Sun Peaks Resort hosts the Annual Okanagan Icewine Festival. This unique wine festival offers wine lovers the opportunity to sample spectacular wines during the the Sun Peaks Progressive Tasting and attend wine masters dinners and educational seminars. The Icewine Festival offers two and three night packages including hotel accommodations, skiing and icewine events.

Dust off your runners, fluff up those jogging shorts and get ready to hit the streets for the Annual Walk/Run for Colon Cancer Canada. Taking place in the McArthur Park, the fundraiser will give the participants an option of a 5 km walk or a 10 km run.
The 5 km Walk/10 km Run will signify the launch of Colon Cancer Canada’s online fundraising campaign. All participants will be eligible to take part in a draw for fantastic incentives and prizes. T-shirts and refreshments will be provided and a number of great family activities will also take place.
